Supernatural revives killed-off characters

How does one end a long-running hit show with a complex mythology, lots of loose ends and fans to service? Supernatural and Arrow faced that question as they shot their final seasons, which debut this week

As they filmed the final season of Supernatural, stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles felt pressure to do justice to their 15-year-old fantasy show, which debuted in 2005 and has defied critics to become the longest-running science-fiction or genre series on American television.

And its creators hint that for some characters, a fitting end may mean a permanent death even though the show has bent the rules on mortality before.
