Using trading cards designed with a nod to the style of the 1970s, when the first Star Wars films were first released, Lucasfilm on the official Star Wars website revealed the names of several new characters in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
John Boyega, whose character netizens have had great interest in because of his role as a black Stormtrooper, has been revealed as Finn.
Also, the Sith who roused much debate by wielding an unconventional cross-bladed lightsaber has been revealed as Kylo Ren.
The character played by Daisy Ridley is known as Rey while Oscar Isaac's character is revealed as Poe Dameron.
Lastly, a droid by the name of BB-8 has also been revealed.
The new characters were first seen in a trailer released last month. The film, which is the seventh instalment of the movie franchise, is slated for premiere on Dec 18, 2015.
