Yesterday's light drizzle and cool weather did not dampen Straits Times readers' craving for bingsu or Korean shaved ice. All 100 bowls of free bingsu from Ice Lab at Orchard Shopping Centre were given out in just over an hour of the shop's opening at 11am. The bingsu was the second treat in a series of food giveaways that are a part of the launch of ST's new food website, straitstimesfood.com. Up for grabs today are 500 packs of Panasonic's Veggie Life salad, available at the SPH Buzz convenience store at Tampines Mall from noon, as well as another 100 bowls of bingsu from Ice Lab's other outlet at 164 Rochor Road from 11am.
