SINGAPORE - South Korean super star CL and home-grown group The Sam Willows will perform at Hyperplay, an Asean music and eSports festival that will take place on Aug 4 and 5 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The festival will also host the first Aseantournament for League of Legends, a hugely popular multiplayer online battle arena title.

Thai rockers Slot Machine and Indonesian crooner Afgan will also perform as part of the MTV Spotlight component of the festival, which is presented by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and the National Youth Council. More acts are expected to be added to the line-up.

The League of Legends competition will see national teams from Asean member countries competing for the title of Asean champion over the two days. The game - which has more than 100 million players playing globally every month - pits two teams of five against each other in a battle of strategy and combat skills.

Key segments of both days of events will also be streamed live on hyperplay.mtvasia.com.

Early bird tickets are now available and are priced from $25 to $101 for day 1 tickets, $32 to $129 for day 2 tickets, or from $43 to $201 for two-day tickets. Tickets can be purchased via www.apactix.com/events/detail/hyperplay-2018.
