I refer to Natasha Ann Zachariah's articles, Mixed Reaction To South Beach (Life, Nov 28) and South Beach Chic (Life, Nov 21).

Having visited the grounds, I disagree with the write-ups.

There is nothing remarkable about the buildings or the green features. In this context, buildings such as Parkroyal on Pickering trumps South Beach by a mile. In terms of expanse of grounds and layout of buildings, one-north is much more well thought than South Beach.

Philippe Starck or not, South Beach is a huge disappointment and the articles give City Developments Limited more credit than it deserves.
