Sneak peek at rehearsals for Ah Boys To Men: The Musical, based on Jack Neo's movies

Rehearsals for Ah Boys To Men: The Musical are in full swing, as you can see from these behind the scenes photographs.

The production, written by theatre veteran Goh Boon Teck and directed by Beatrice Chia-Richmond with music by Don Richmond, is based on director Jack Neo's blockbuster film of the same title.

It reunites the movie's cast including Tosh Zhang, Wang Wei Liang, Maxi Lim, and Noah Yap,, who will be reprising their roles of Sergeant Alex Ong and Recruits Lobang, Aloysius Jin and IP Man respectively.

Recruit Ken Chow, however, will not be played by Joshua Tan, who is studying in Melbourne. Musician Benjamin Kheng, from indie folk pop group The Sam Willows, takes on the role instead. Another musician who has joined the cast is rapper Shigga Shay, who recently collaborated with Zhang and Wang on the online hit single, Lim Peh.

The play will be on at RWS Theatre from April 18 to 27. Tickets, priced from $38 to $128, are available from Sistic.
