Singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart speaks of his intense experience recording music in a Japanese meditation hall

When singer-songwriter and artist Devendra Banhart was working on his latest and 10th album, Ma, he started in an old temple in Kyoto, Japan.

It was an experience that moved him to tears.
