Roseanne Barr apologises yet again

LOS ANGELES • Roseanne Barr has issued yet another apology. On May 29, the actress had tweeted that Ms Chelsea Clinton - daughter of the former American president Bill Clinton - was married to a nephew of billionaire George Soros.

After Ms Clinton informed Barr of her mistake, the latter tweeted: "Sorry to have tweeted incorrect info about you! Please forgive me!

"By the way, George Soros is a nazi who turned in his fellow Jews 2 be murdered in German concentration camps & stole their wealth - were you aware of that? But, we all make mistakes, right Chelsea?"

On Monday, Barr had to take back her words again, in her apology to Mr Soros. "I apologise sincerely to @georgesoros. His family was persecuted by The Nazis & survived The Holocaust only because of the strength & resourcefulness of his father," she wrote.

Barr's sitcom Roseanne recently got axed by ABC - despite drawing huge ratings in its reboot season - after she compared former President Barack Obama's adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape.

She later said sorry to Ms Jarrett.
