SEATTLE (NYTimes) - Rock is not ready to roll over completely yet, with Fall Out Boy's new album heading the Billboard chart.
Mania becomes its fourth record to reach the top, and its third in a row, with the equivalent of 130,000 sales in the United States, according to Nielsen.
Of those, 117,000 were made as copies of the full album - a high proportion, as streaming increasingly takes over.
The feat is impressive against the backdrop of rap overtaking rock as the dominant genre in the US music scene last year.
The Greatest Showman soundtrack holds at No. 2 while Ed Sheeran's ÷ remains at No. 3.
