Spanish star Antonio Banderas has wanted to play Pablo Picasso for some time. But the actor turned down several offers to do so because of the heavy responsibility in portraying Spain's greatest artist.

He finally said yes, though, with the anthology drama series Genius, which devotes its second season to the late Picasso (1881 to 1973).
