LOS ANGELES - In November 2017, when the television network FX cut ties with comedian Louis C.K. after his sexual-misconduct scandal, it was left to Pamela Adlon to make the acclaimed series the two of them created in 2016, Better Things, on her own.
His admission that he had indecently exposed himself to several women in the comedy world led her to publicly denounce his behaviour as "abhorrent" and side with his accusers. She also fired the manager they had shared, who was accused of threatening two women who had spoken out against C.K.
