Rocketman might be that rare thing in cinemas - a musical - but at its heart, it is still a story about a musician's life. A biopic, in other words, and one that joins a legion of films about other musicians, across the genres of jazz, rock, country and classical.

The film has singer-songwriter Elton John's blessing and is, as such projects tend to be, an inspirational tale of a man beating down his demons.
