By winning the Producers Guild of America Award in January, there is a 70 per cent chance that the biopic Green Book will also win Best Picture.

SINGAPORE - With just under two weeks left to go before Oscar night, grouses are growing.
Triggering the traditionalists is how films on the Netflix platform, like the drama Roma, have made a splash at the awards. This will only hasten the demise of cinemas, say detractors. With its 10 nominations, the film based on writer-director Alfonso Cuaron's childhood in Mexico is tied with the period comedy The Favourite for the title of most nominated film this year.
