SINGAPORE - An online petition is calling for a ban on two concerts by Swedish metal bands Watain and Soilwork, claiming that their songs contain "subliminal messages" about death and suicide.

Watain, whose 2013 album The Wild Hunt topped the Swedish music charts, are set to play their debut Singapore concert at EBX Live Space, a concert venue in the Upper Paya Lebar industrial estate on March 7. Soilwork, a prolific band whose releases date back more than two decades, will perform at same venue on Oct 29.
