STOCKHOLM - A woman was raped and 11 other cases of sexual assault were reported at Sweden's Bravalla music festival last week.

The incidents have led to the canning of next year's edition.

According to ABC News, the rape occurred during a performance by Swedish artiste Hakan Hellstrom on Friday. Other performers included The Killers and The Chainsmokers.

The organiser said it had tried its best to create a safe festival experience but "some men... apparently can't behave".

Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said on Sunday that young women who wanted to listen to music should not be "exposed to... disgusting acts".
