Aaron Kwok 'owes' everyone in HK hongbao after getting married

(THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Newly-married Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok's "promise" to give hongbao to the citizens of the entire region 24 years ago is haunting him now, reported Sin Chew Daily.

He was reported to have said this during a movie promotion in 1994. In front of rolling cameras, Kwok said that everyone in Hong Kong will receive "red envelopes" from him after he was married.

The 52-year-old Kwok wed Moka Fang, 30, last April. They welcomed a baby daughter later in September.
