SINGAPORE - British singer Morrissey, one of the most influential figures in indie music, will perform in Singapore at Marina Barrage on Oct 15.

Concert organisers LAMC Productions, which staged his previous gig here in 2012, announced on its social media channels that early-bird tickets at $98 will go on sale on Aug 5, 10am, through its website ( www.lamcproductions.com/).

Regular tickets at $108 go on sale on Aug 15 through Sistic (www.sistic.com.sg/).

A divisive figure known as much for his music as he is for his strong views on politics, vegetarianism and animal rights, the 57-year-old has a cult-like following around the world.

His vast discography includes four studio albums with former band, indie pioneers The Smiths, as well as 10 solo studio albums. The most recent LP, World Peace Is None of Your Business, was released in 2014.
