The makers of the Ju-On series' latest US chapter say the movie sets itself apart with gore, dread and adult drama

Another year, another Hollywood remake of a Japanese horror classic - and this time, it is one the Americans have remade before: The Grudge.

But, given that many connoisseurs of the genre think American horror films are less scary than their Japanese counterparts, how will it stack up against the original?
