Millennial heroes with superpowers in Cloak & Dagger

Creators of Cloak & Dagger were inspired by the youth who are speaking up for their beliefs today

Marvel adds to its growing roster of teenage superheroes on screen with Cloak & Dagger, its second new show in six months to feature young protagonists.

Its television chief Jeph Loeb believes casting millennials as heroes is especially relevant today, given how young people are increasingly speaking up on political issues - for instance, the students who protested after the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, in February.
