Melissa McCarthy confirmed for Gilmore Girls reboot

Sookie is heading back to Stars Hollow. Actress Melissa McCarthy has announced the news that she will be reprising her role as Sookie St. James on Neflix's upcoming Gilmore Girls reboot. McCarthy said on Ellen: 'Amy Sherman-Palladino is going to squeeze me in to do it and I'm very happy to go back to Stars Hollow... Oh my gosh, there's me and Lauren.' McCarthy played Graham's character Lorelai's best friend and also portrayed a chef through the seven seasons of the show, which originally aired on the WB before it moved to the CW network. It ended its run in 2007.
