Maggie Q, who stars in horror flick Fantasy Island, is glad for more colour-blind casting in film despite its materialistic motives

American actress Maggie Q is glad Hollywood seems to be embracing more diversity, but she knows the truth is a little more complicated.

The 40-year-old star, whose father is of Polish and Irish descent and mother is Vietnamese, tells The Straits Times over the telephone: "'Yes, I'm happy about it' is the short answer. TV shows and films are definitely getting more diverse, even if the intention is not quite pure.
