BEIJING • Semi-retired actress Maggie Cheung is making a rare foray into variety shows by guest- starring on Nicholas Tse's cooking show, Chef Nic. Appearing on video at a press conference on Season 3 of the show on Sunday, she told Tse: "I hear you can cook. I would also like to taste your food."
Tse said he was impressed Cheung, 51, met him for four hours to talk about her participation on the show.
Newlywed actress Shu Qi will guest star when the new season premieres on Saturday on Zhejiang TV.
She and her husband, director Stephen Fung, fresh from their wedding announced last Saturday, were back at work on Sunday on their film, The Adventurers, in the Czech Republic.
Fung posted a photo on Weibo, which showed him with a ring on his left hand. He wrote: "Filming in the forest. Thank you all so much (for your congratulations)!"
