SEOUL • South Korean actor Lee Dong-wook and singer-turned-actress Suzy ended their relationship about four months after they went public.
The stars' agencies confirmed the break-up yesterday, stating that the two split due to their busy schedules.
Lee, 37, and Suzy, 24, had gone public with their romance earlier in March. The two were reported to have started dating after meeting each other at an unofficial event.
Lee, who debuted as an actor in 1999, rose to stardom in the television series My Girl in 2005. He also starred in the 2016-2017 mega-hit drama series Goblin.
He is set to appear in JTBC's upcoming medical drama Life.
Having originally debuted as a member of the now-defunct K-pop girl group Miss A in 2010, Suzy made her acting debut in the high school drama Dream High in 2011.
Her breakthrough came with the 2012 film Architecture 101, in which she played a younger version of the female protagonist and earned the nickname "icon of first love".
She made her music solo debut with her EP Yes? No? last January and released her second EP, Faces Of Love, in January. She was in a 21/2-year relationship with actor-singer Lee Min-ho that ended last year.
