Famed movie director Stanley Kubrick worked for a magazine from age 17 to 21. His photos will be on show at the Museum of the City of New York

NEW YORK • Before he called the shots as a movie director, Stanley Kubrick framed his perspectives on life on a smaller scale.

Starting in 1945, when he was 17 and living in the Bronx, he worked as a New York-based photographer for Look magazine.
