Korean actor Joo Won sure wastes little time.

Immediately upon wrapping up filming for the hit medical thriller The Gang Doctor, in which he plays the titular physician to the triads, he will be flying to Jakarta and Singapore to promote the show, which is currently airing here on cable channel One every Thursday and Friday at 8.55pm.

The Korean entertainment channel is organising the Korean star's two-city tour on Oct 9 and 10.

A Date With Joo Won, a meet-and-greet session with fans, will take place here on Oct 10. Further details of the event will be revealed at a later date.

The charismatic 28-year-old actor started out in theatre, starring in musicals such as Grease. He made his TV debut as the villain in baking drama King Of Baking (2010), and went on to star in hit long-form drama Ojakgyo Family (2011-2012) as a zealous cop.
