At her So Here I Am concert last Saturday at the Esplanade Concert Hall - the first of two shows - local singer Joanna Dong took on a wide range of songs in her inimitable jazzy style.

They included Mandopop hits such as Special Love For A Special You and English numbers like My Funny Valentine, as well as songs written for her (Long Way Round).

She regaled the audience with stories of taking part in singing competitions as a child and also recalled her time on the reality contest show Sing! China last year.

During the encore, she performed Love Song 1990, the track that wowed Mandopop king Jay Chou - in the same light blue striped dress she wore then.

Her EP, So Here I Am, was launched at the gig and there are plans to distribute it in China in the later part of the year.
