Jay Chou , Dua Lipa among F1 music acts

Mandopop king Jay Chou, British pop sensation Dua Lipa and Dutch dance music star Martin Garrix are some of the major music acts performing at the upcoming Formula 1 2018 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.

Taking place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit from Sept 14 to 16, the line-up will also include British singer and former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, American alternative rock band The Killers, Mercury Prize-winning Scottish trio Young Fathers, British pop-soul veterans Simply Red, American hip-hop pioneers The Sugarhill Gang, Japanese rock band Sekai No Owari and Abba impersonators Bjorn Again.

DJ-producer Garrix is currently at the top of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll. His hit songs include a duet, Scared To Be Lonely, last year with Lipa, who won two Brit Awards for British Breakthrough Act and British Female Solo Act in February. Both of them will perform at the Padang on Sept 16.

The Killers, who also performed at the F1 in 2013, and Gallagher will perform at the Padang on Sept 15.

Chou recently released a new single, If You Don't Love Me, It's Fine, that is climbing up the charts here. He sang at the 2012 F1 and will perform at this year's edition at the Padang on Sept 14 . His set will feature home-grown jazz singer Joanna Dong, whom he mentored last year in the reality music show Sing! China.

Local acts such as DJ-producer Myrne, indie band M1LDL1FE and pop-jazz singer Miss Lou are also set to perform.
