Singer Mariah Carey is one high maintenance star - she can chalk up nearly US$85,000 (S$109,000) in make-up and styling fees just to prepare for a photo shoot, reported TMZ entertainment website.

The figure came up in a lawsuit brought by a photographer against Carey's record label. He claims that a photo shoot for the singer's album cover was cancelled for no reason and is seeking his US$150,000 fee. TMZ did not name the photographer.

In the lawsuit, the fees were broken down as:

Stylist -- US$65,391

Hair stylist -- US$9,600

Makeup artist -- US$7,200

Manicurist -- US$2,400
