Wolverine star Hugh Jackman was recently treated for skin cancer for the third time in 12 months, E! News reported.

His representative told E! News that the 46-year-old actor, who was spotted in the West Village in New York on Sunday wearing a bandage on his nose while out on a stroll with his family, is "all good" now.

The Australian heart-throb had a basal cell carcinoma removed in November 2013 and in May this year.

The cancer is said to be treatable if it is caught in the early stage. After going public with his diagnosis, the actor has been urging people to wear sunscreen and to go for check-ups.

He recently revealed that he believes that he will have "many more" skin cancer scares, reported Daily Mail.

At the premiere of X-Men: Days Of Future Past in Beijing, China, he reportedly said: 'I'm realistic about the future and it's more than likely that I'll have at least one more but probably many more, which is not uncommon for an Aussie particularly from English stock growing up in Australia where I don't remember ever being told to put sunscreen on."

He told E! News earlier this year: "Don't be like me as a kid. Trust me, wear sunscreen!"
