Los Angeles - How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris married his partner in a castle in Perugia, Italy, last Saturday, after 10 years and two children together, said reports.
The television actor's representative confirmed that the couple tied the knot at an "intimate ceremony surrounded by their close friends and family", said People magazine.
Harris, 41, said on Twitter that he and theatre actor David Burtka, 39, had "put the 'n' and 'd' in 'husband'".
The couple wore custom-made Tom Ford tuxedos at the wedding officiated by How I Met Your Mother director Pam Fryman, said People.
The couple's fraternal three-year-old twins, Harper and Gideon, took part in the ceremony, said USA Today. Harper was the flower girl and Gideon the "orange boy" - wearing a top hat and giving out oranges, said the report.
Pop superstar Elton John performed at the reception.
When New York legalised gay marriage in 2011, Harris said he had been engaged for more than five years and was "waiting for an available date", reported People. It turned out to be last Saturday.
