Hotel Mumbai is a film inspired by incredible stories of people coming together to get through the 2008 siege on the Taj Hotel

Many people recall the 2008 terrorist attacks by Pakistani militants in Mumbai, but few know the staff at the iconic Taj Hotel risked their lives to save guests when the building was besieged.

Hotel Mumbai, a film opening in Singapore today, tells their story, which director Anthony Maras and the international cast - including Dev Patel, Anupam Kher, Armie Hammer and Nazanin Boniadi - say is ultimately an uplifting one despite the tragedy.
