One of the hottest new artists of the year, FKA twigs, has starred in and directed a film for Google Glass, said Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old singer, wearing a black PVC bra and shorts, set the film to re-scores of her songs Video Girl and Glass & Patron.

FKA, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, has garnered good reviews for her debut album, LP1, which was released in August. It is shortlisted for the coveted 2014 Mercury Prize.

The English singer-songwriter-producer-dancer was born in Gloucestershire. Her father is Jamaican, and her mother is part English and Spanish. FKA stands for Formerly Known As. She is reported to have become known as twigs because her joints crack.

FKA, who has made headlines in Britain for dating Twilight star Robert Pattinson, is scheduled to play at the Laneway Festival Singapore at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay, on Jan 24.
