LOS ANGELES (REUTERS) - Emmy and Tony-winning actor Mandy Patinkin was honoured in Los Angeles on Monday (Feb 12) with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Patinkin received his star one day after the premiere of the seventh season of his Showtime series Homeland, in which he plays CIA Middle East division chief Saul Berenson.
Patinkin made an impassioned speech after receiving his star on Monday in which he championed immigrants and called on his audience to "welcome other immigrants without fear, without worry and learn to trust them".
Aside from Homeland, Patinkin has appeared in CBS medical drama Chicago Hope and HBO comedy The Larry Sanders Show.
His film credits include The Princess Bride, Dick Tracy and Yentl.
