SINGAPORE - Following shows at Esplanade's Mosaic Music Festival and Timbre Substation next month, home-grown singer-songwriters Dru Chen and Deon are heading to Japan for a four-date tour to promote their new music.
The Black East Tour:Tokyo 2017 is named after their management label, and will see them doing shows at venues such as Shinjuku Live Freak, Kichijoji Planet K and mona records in the Japanese capital.
Deon, whose full name is Deon Toh, comes from the indie-pop and rock world, while Andrew 'Dru' Chen, is an indie-soul singer. This is the first time they will be touring together.
Both will be performing five unreleased songs from their upcoming, as yet unnamed albums. For Toh, it will be his third full-length album, while it will be Chen's debut album.
According to a press release from their management, "both artists plan to use this platform to promote their new works first within Asia, to establish home ground support before touring other international regions."
