Home-grown singer-songwriters Dru Chen and Deon are heading to Japan for a four-date tour to promote their new music.

The Black East Tour:Tokyo 2017 is named after their management label and will see them doing shows at venues such as Shinjuku Live Freak, Kichijoji Planet K and mona records from Dec 3 to 8.

This will be their first tour together. Deon, 30, whose full name is Deon Toh, comes from the indie-pop and rock world, while Andrew "Dru" Chen, 28, is an indie-soul singer.

Both will be performing five unreleased songs each from their upcoming, yet to be named albums, the third for Toh and debut for Chen.

Before going to Tokyo, the pair will be promoting their works at the Esplanade's Mosaic Music Festival on Nov 12 and at Timbre @The Substation on Nov 22.

Correction note: In an earlier version of the story, we said that the shows by Dru Chen and Deon would be held on Nov 29 at Timbre Substation. Timbre has since clarified that the shows will be held on Nov 22 at Timbre @ The Substation.
