TAIPEI • Did singer Jay Chou return to Taipei to be present at the birth of his son on Thursday morning?

Apple Daily, citing unnamed sources, reported that model Hannah Quinlivan had given birth to the couple's second child, just three days after her baby shower on Monday.

The couple's agents neither confirmed nor denied the report.

Her agent said: "Thank you for your concern. Please don't worry. If there's good news, I believe the couple will announce it on their own."

Apple Daily said Chou, 38, took leave from the taping of the second season of competition show Sing! China on Wednesday night and returned to Taipei from Hangzhou on a charter flight.

Quinlivan, 23, is said to have had a Caesarean delivery again. Their daughter, Hathaway, will be two next month.

Last month, the couple were spotted in Neihu, northern Taipei, choosing a confinement centre.

Quinlivan is expected to emerge from confinement to promote action movie S.M.A.R.T. Chase next month, Apple Daily said.
