LOS ANGELES •Oh no, Gwyneth Paltrow is moving into the neighbourhood?
The actress' plans to build a huge house in Montecito, California, have apparently upset the neighbours, going by what they have told the New York Post.
"She's created an uproar with neighbours on all three sides," said Mr Andrew Rice, a spokesman for one neighbour.
The residents' beef? The house is too big and tall as well as being incompatible with the adjacent ones.
The face-off is the latest chapter of her history of bad blood with neighbours, with one example being a complaint filed against her for putting up a 2.7m-tall gate for a house in a Los Angeles district.
But the Montecito Board of Architectural Review approved the plans last week when her architect said the building design had been scaled back.
According to People magazine, Paltrow is a homebody.
In a recent Instagram post of her two-week vacation in France and Spain, including sailing with ex-husband Chris Martin, the founder of the Goop lifestyle portal said in apparent triumph: "Two-week trip complete." She added: "#victorydanceofahomebody."
