SEOUL • Girl quintet 4Minute are reportedly ready to disband after seven years together.

The group is Cube Entertainment's first girl group, comprising rappers Kim Hyun A and Jeon Ji Yoon alongside vocalists Nam Ji Hyun, Heo Ga Yoon and Kwon So Hyun.

Cube Entertainment confirmed on Monday that only Kim inked an extension with the agency and the other members are either thinking of signing renewed contracts or leaving the agency.

This came after an exclusive report on Monday by Yonhap News Agency, quoting a source familiar with the matter saying that a few of the singers have decided not to extend their contracts with the agency as members of 4Minute.

Their contracts are said to have expired earlier this month.

4Minute debuted in 2009 with the single Hot Issue and they have released hits such as Muzik, Mirror Mirror, Heart To Heart, Whatcha Doin' Today, Volume Up, What's Your Name? and Crazy.

Their latest major release was Hate, the lead song off their seventh mini album, Act 7, released in February.

They have released just one full-length album, 4Minutes Left, in their career.
