Besides fine nosh by local vendors and merchandise by home-grown craftsmen, there are also live performances by acts such as electronic wunderkind weish, dance rockers The Auditory Effect, Gardener, Underground Shenanigans, Sunset In Antarctica and Anise SG. As this is held in conjunction with Movember Singapore, a global awareness campaign for men's health, guys with the best moustaches will win prizes too.

LATE NITE @ ESPLANADE: POEMS ABOUT CHAOS BY BANI HAYKAL AND DARREN NG
Multi-disciplinary artist Bani Haykal, last year's Young Artist Award recipient whose prolific creative output spans music, poetry, theatre and dance, will collaborate with sound artist Darren Ng, better known by his nom de guerre sonicbrat, through the use of various acoustic instruments.

BEARY SCARY NIGHT
This is a different type of Halloween show with a line-up that features the return of mighty Japanese post-rock stalwarts Mono, who recently released double-album opus The Last Dawn/Rays Of Darkness, San Francisco folktronica act Blackbird Blackbird (real name Mikey Maramag) and his pop/ambient hybrids, as well as Stockholm-based electro/rock/pop foursome The Royal Concept, famed for sunny tunes such as On Our Way and Gimme Twice.

FREQ'ENDER
New indoor music festival Freq'ender takes advantage of the Halloween weekend for a two-day dance blowout with a global line-up. On Oct 31, see DJ sets by the likes of British act Hot Chip and Belgian outfit 2manydjs, alongside turntablist and producer Doorly. On Nov 1, check out the first Asian performance of audiovisual spectacle Mekanika by international clubbing institution Godskitchen, together with acts such as Dutch DJ/producer duo Glowinthedark and Belgian progressive and electro house DJ Wolfpack.
