Androgynous Taiwanese singer Pan Mei-chen is best known for her emotive ballads such as I Want A Home and The Ice That Refuses To Melt. Her output of late has been less memorable, but she has continued to perform regularly.

German rock band Scorpions are still going strong after five decades. Since forming in 1965, they have produced hits such as Love At First Sting, Blackout and the music video for the power ballad, Wind Of Change, which celebrates the end of the Cold War, has racked up over 304 million views on YouTube.

The Lithe Paralogue Studio was previously a space at Old Bukit Timah Firestation for rehearsals, recordings and live shows. It is now in Aliwal Street. Helping the studio celebrate its new digs is a line-up of indie acts, including instrumental rock band Paint The Sky Red (photo) and math-rockers Forests.
