TAIPEI - The face and name of pop king Jay Chou's firstborn have finally been revealed.

His wife, model Hannah Quinlivan, posted a photo of the top half of little Hathaway's face on Weibo on Wednesday, exciting a great deal of online interest in China and Taiwan as fans marvelled at the girl's long eyelashes, said Apple Daily.

The couple were celebrating the 100th day of the child's birth, said the report. Chou previously shared a photo of himself and his daughter, her back to the camera, when she was a month old.

The new photo of the baby was posted with Quinlivan's note, which read: "Dear Hathaway, you're almost 100 days old. Daddy and Mummy are very happy to see you growing up day by day. Thank you for adding more emotion and more responsibility to our lives."

Writing in Chinese and English, Quinlivan said: "We hope you will have a good outlook on life, and be able to meet life's various tests positively and make every decision bravely. My dear, remember we will always back you. Hope you can grow with Happiness Joy and Love."

At the end of the post, she shared a photo of a wooden gift box, which is decorated with a crest that comprises the couple's initials and the child's footprints. She said: "Thank you for your gifts in these months. Now it's our turn to send a 100th day gift."

The baby's name also inspired close reading. Chinese reports, citing fans, connected the name with Oscar winner Anne Hathaway, who is said to be the foreign star Chou wants most to meet. The reports also said Hathaway might be a contraction of "Hannah thaws Jay".
