FRENCH ANIMATION FILM FESTIVAL
The seventh edition of the French Animation Film Festival opens today.
One of the films that will be screened is a French-Japanese dark comedy (NC16, 90 minutes, above) with an unprintable name.
It is about delivery boy Angelino, who is trapped in a crime-ridden Californian megapolis of the future and begins seeing visions after a road accident.
Drawn in a style that blends anime with street art and comic-book graphics, this film sold out quickly when it premiered at last year's Singapore International Film Festival.

MEXICAN FILM FESTIVAL 2018
Among the offerings at the festival - jointly presented by the Embassy of Mexico, The Projector and the NUS Office of Alumni Relations - is the comedy, You're Killing Me Susana (M18, 100 minutes).
Eligio (Gael Garcia Bernal) is an actor who thinks the rules of fidelity in marriage apply only to his wife Susana (Veronica Echegui, both above). Fed up of his dalliances, she disappears, leaving him to track her to a writers' workshop in the middle of the United States. He discovers that finding her and persuading her to return to Mexico are two different things.
Director Roberto Sneider will be present for a question-and-answer session after the screening.
