Fans of K-pop boyband BTS queueing one day before concert to buy merchandise

SINGAPORE - Need more proof that K-pop boyband BTS are a global phenomenon? Their hotly anticipated sold-out concert at the National Stadium takes place on Saturday (Jan 19) at 7pm, but there were already about 80 fans outside the OCBC Arena on Friday at 6.30pm, some with luggage in tow. The line was orderly, with some breaking out into screams when strains of BTS songs were heard coming from the stadium.

Fans told The Straits Times they were queueing overnight to be the first ones to get their hands on BTS merchandise when the merchandise booth opened at 9am on Saturday.
