SINGAPORE - The recent controversy over Taylor Swift fans harassing record label executives has put hardcore fans in the spotlight.

They are very vocal about what they like and do not like and often galvanise themselves to push for change, or in the case of Swift, direct their fury - even sending death threats - to those who they deemed to have wronged their idols.
