Taipei - Television host Blackie Chen and his wife, singer Fan Fan, introduced their newborn twin sons to their fans on Thursday evening.

Chen, 37, posted a photo of the boys on Weibo with a message: "Thank you for your good wishes, mother and sons are safe. The two brothers quietly came to this beautiful world today. We thank God for our two babies."

Fan, 38, also announced on Weibo the "early" births of the boys, whom she has nicknamed Big Panda and Little Panda.

United Daily News, citing unnamed sources, said the boys had been due next month. Fan needed an emergency caesarean after her water broke suddenly, the report said.

The couple have been married for three years.
