Disney joins the streaming war with new content and low prices

SINGAPORE - The streaming wars heated up over the weekend when Disney threw down the gauntlet to Netflix and other rivals by announcing a huge slate of films and shows for its Disney+ service, which will be priced lower than Netflix's cheapest plan in the United States.

Launching in the US, Canada and the Netherlands on Nov 12, Disney+ will eventually make its way to Singapore and the rest of the world.
