Dance festival Ultra Singapore back for its second edition in June

SINGAPORE - Electronic dance music (EDM) festival Ultra Singapore will be back for its second edition at Bayfront Avenue near Marina Bay Sands on June 10 and 11.

The line-up announced so far includes major names in the EDM world including Dutch DJ/producer Hardwell, American DJ/producer Steve Aoki, Dutch DJ/producer Tiesto and Australian band Pendulum.

Last year's inaugural edition at the same venue drew 45,000 partygoers over two days in September. It featured close to 50 international and regional acts across three stages.

Ultra, which won dance music bible DJ Mag's World's Best Festival award last year, started out in Miami in 1999. Last year's Ultra in Miami drew 165,000 and the festival has also held editions in countries such as Brazil, South Africa and Japan.

Tickets for this year's festival start from US$163 (S$230.01) for both days and are available at ultrasingapore.com.
