Music lovers are stepping out to take part in singing and composing contests

Choir conductor Lim Huimin became the newest champion of a music competition here when she emerged victorious in this year's I Am The Song Master singing contest on Sunday. The event was organised by the circulation division of Singapore Press Holdings in conjunction with Lianhe Wanbao and Shin Min Daily News.

The 32-year-old's heartfelt, acoustic version of the JJ Lin ballad, She Says, moved the judges and clinched her the grand prize of $1,888 in cash and a crystal trophy.
