Director Gaspar Noe says he went without written dialogue and storyboarding for the dance-horror work

French film-maker Gaspar Noe calls the making of his new film a "bank robbery" - it was made quickly, with a bare-boned script only a few pages long, and the action in it takes place over one night.

He dispensed with the usual production necessities, such as written dialogue and storyboarding.
