The plot of the romantic comedy series Run - about two old flames making good on a 17-year pact to run away together - was inspired by a private joke between British writers Vicky Jones and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who collaborated on the hit stage play and series Fleabag.

Jones, 41, directed Waller-Bridge's one-woman show, Fleabag (2013), which became the basis of the much lauded television series (2016 and 2019) of the same name - a tragicomedy about a young woman in London navigating the complexities of love, sex and family.
